August – The European Defence Fund (EDF) is a key EU instrument to strengthen collaboration in the defence sector. By funding joint research and innovation projects — in fields such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and other critical technologies — the EDF fosters cross-border cooperation, reduces market fragmentation, and moves Europe towards a more integrated defence sector.
With the application deadline set for October 2025, there is still time for SMEs and research organisations to begin the application phase for research or deployment actions (non-thematic).
